Children’s Coloring Competition – Rules & Guidelines
1. Eligibility
Open to children in three age categories:
- Category 1: Ages 5–7
- Category 2: Ages 8–10
- Category 3: Ages 11–13
2. Registration
All participants must register in advance at SV-FF.com.
Registration fee: $5 per participant.
3. Themes
Participants will create an original drawing based on their category’s assigned theme:
- Ages 5–7: My Dream Garden
- Ages 8–10: My Dream World
- Ages 11–13: Save the Earth
Artwork must be created on-site during the competition at the Cupertino Senior Center.
4. Location & Time
- Location: Bay Room, Cupertino Senior Center
- Competition starts: 11:00 a.m.
- Participants will have 90 minutes to complete their artwork.
5. Materials
- Drawing paper will be provided by the organizers.
- Only crayons and colored pencils may be used.
- Wet paint is not allowed.
- Participants must bring their own crayons, colored pencils, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and other basic supplies.
6. Originality
- All artwork must be the participant’s own creation.
- Tracing, copying, and pre-drawn outlines are not allowed.
7. Judging
- Artwork will be judged by a panel of artists.
- Judging criteria include creativity and originality, relevance to the theme, use of colors, and overall presentation.
- The judges’ decision will be final.
8. Awards
- Winners will be announced in the Art Show Area in the Cupertino Senior Center
- Medals and Certificates will be awarded to the winners in each category.
9. Conduct
- Participants must behave respectfully toward fellow contestants, volunteers, and event staff.
- Disruptive behavior may result in disqualification.
10. Media Consent
Photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. By participating, entrants and their guardians agree to the use of such media.
